Unnao: Chandigarh University Uttar Pradesh organised a series of awareness activities to promote the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, highlighting the importance of women’s empowerment and inclusive governance.
The programme began with an awareness talk focusing on the significance of the Act and the need for greater participation of women in decision-making processes. A signature campaign saw around 156 students pledging support for gender equality and representation.
A poster-making competition attracted nearly 50 participants, including about 40 female students, who creatively depicted the theme of 33 percent reservation. Gauri Gupta, a BBA BA (Hons) student, secured first place.

In a symbolic gesture, around 60 students formed a human chain at the campus amphitheatre, promoting unity for gender equality. Additionally, an awareness march organised with the National Service Scheme (NSS) saw participation from nearly 50 students, reinforcing the message of women’s representation and youth-led social change.
